Elon —
Had dinner with Greg tonight. A few takeaways:
1. They are scared. They believe Google/DeepMind has the only credible shot at AGI right now and they think they're falling behind.
2. They are very nervous about giving you 'unilateral control,' as Greg put it. He said it with affection but he meant it.
3. Sam is driving the for-profit conversation harder than anyone. Greg seemed less sure.
4. They will agree to almost any equity number. They will not agree to you having sole CEO authority.
I think the leverage is real but narrower than it looks.
